Update: The Adventurists Africa Rally

Just a quick update regarding the Africa Rally.
I attended the first briefing session for the rally pariticpants a few weekends ago. Up until then I was comfortable in my blissful ignorance of the dangers we'd be facing - now I'm forced to think about corrupt officials, bandits, land mines, diseases, water... I want my blissful ignorance back!
There were representatives from two of the charities the rally is sponsoring - Send A Cow and Frank Water Projects. They talked about the work they are doing in Cameroon, and what the money we raise from the rally will be spent on. Send A Cow gave us all fluffy cows to stick on our dashboards to photograph/video. Seeing as I'm taking the Easternly route (Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Libya...) I thought it appropriate to name my cow Moo-hammed. I'll be sure to avoid Sudan though
