Introducing Photos365.com
May 6, 2008
One of my long term projects has been a photo sharing service similar to Flickr and SmugMug, it's called Photos365 - and I'm hoping that it will be ready for initial Beta release sometime in July.
There's a few cool things about it that differentiate it from it's competition, but I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag just yet - you'll have to wait and see
I've just launched a logo design contest on 99Designs, so if you're interested in designing a logo for the site, then head on over and take a look.
Also, if you'd like to get notified of when the beta site is launched, leave a comment here and I'll be sure to send you an invite.

There is a name for a guitar that small : ukulele.
Google Earth
January 29, 2008
I've been playing with Google Earth quite a bit lately, trying to work out my route for The Africa Rally.
It's only today that I've found that you can upgrade to a Pro version that allows you to import track logs from your GPS device - Garmin is supported. I've got a Garmin Rino 530, the one with the built-in 2 way radio.
That's a pretty powerful combination to have out on the road - Google Earth, Wireless internet and GPS. Doubtlessly I'll be using this combination to plan my routes, as well as using it to visualize the routes I've already taken ![]()
I Am Legend
January 7, 2008
Hollywood finally recognises Ian "Legend" Gordon. I Am Legend is the true biographical story of Ian Gordon, starring Wil Smith as the popular charismatic hero main character (other than the dog).
Err... I haven't seen it, just the trailer. It looks OK.
Spoiler alert
Wil Smith's Scottish accent is worse than Mel Gibson's in BraveHeart. Also, it's factually incorrect, it was a squirrel, not a dog.
